Best Recipe for Lamb Steak!

This recipe is simple and creates a delicious lamb steak

  1. Peel the vegetables and bring a pot of salted water to the boil
  2. Once boiling, place the vegetables in the boiling water
  3. Boil until the vegetables become soft
  4. While the vegetables are cooking, place a frying pan (or griddle pan) over high heat. Rub the steaks with olive oil on either side, then place in the pan (the pan should be hot enough that they instantly sizzle)
  5. While the lamb is cooking, grind some black pepper on the top of the steak, and then place a sprig of rosemary on the top of each one and push down on it to make sure that it sticks to the steak
  6. Fry the lamb for approximately 2 minutes before flipping it over. Fry for another 2 minutes (or a little longer, if you prefer your meat to be well done)
  7. Remove the lamb from the pan and set aside (the vegetables should still be cooking at this point)
  8. Turn the heat off and then pour in a approximately half a glass of red wine into the pan (once the lamb steaks have been taken out) and then scrape the bottom of the pan with a wooden spoon to lift some of the lamb residue into the red wine. Turn the heat back on once this is done
  9. Reduce the red wine by half (after a few minutes)
  10. Add in a small cube of butter into the red wine and a twist of salt and pepper and stir
  11. Serve the vegetables (either boiled, or as a mash) and place the lamb steaks on top. Drizzle a few tablespoons of the sauce directly on to the lamb / mash
